The Wherehouse is an AI image cartoon story written by Sara L Russell aka pinkyandrexa.
W H E R E in Wherehouse stands for “We Help Everyone Reach Earth“. Shaz Marchant and Jed Pendeville live together in East Croydon, at 47 Poplar Villas. From their house they run an intergalactic tourist business for alien beings to visit planet earth and have fun in towns and resorts in the South East of England; especially Croydon, London and Brighton.
The Wherehouse Characters.
Shaz Marchant is a pretty, intelligent young Goth woman who is great with computers and IT. She mostly runs the communication side of the business. She is a terrible flirt and has several times cheated on her boyfriend Jed. She runs the Wherehouse business equally with Jed. Like Jed, she has tattoos and wears a lot of black makeup. She takes a dominant role in her relationship with Jed, as he quite enjoys being held down or tied up. He even appears to wallow in the drama of sometimes falling out with her and making up again. Shaz also has a terrible crush on Lord Ganth, who has visited her and Jed the previous year; again on his holiday to planet Earth.
Jed Pendeville is a handsome young Goth man who hides his sensitive-looking face most of the time behind the mask of his slightly fearsome Goth makeup. He has sullen lips, dark eyebrows, long straight backcombed hair spiked up on top, an aristocratic nose, and quite a few tattoos. He is often depressed because of Shaz not being faithful to him. He never hurts her no matter how many times she cheats on him. His relationship with her is slightly masochistic. Jed is also good with computers and IT. He organises a lot of outings for the alien guests at the Wherehouse (their large old house doubles up as a hotel). He does a lot of guided tours for the Meethrans using his car. When they all go out in East Croydon to a club, they all walk there, as they live near the town centre.
Lord Ganth is a very charismatic, seductive cat person from the planet Meethra. Meethrans are descendents from the cat people who were worshipped as gods by the pharaohs of ancient Egypt. He explains the Meethran history in this talking video, brought to you by HeyGen AI, with my original script. (Please note this is a speaking video, don’t have the volume up loud if viewing it on your phone with your partner asleep next to you).
Lord Ganth is a very friendly and sociable creature. Like all cats, he startles easily and is known to jump onto sheds or up lamp posts when startled. Ganth is also the entourage leader of his group of friends. He is also a rascal and has stolen his father’s fastest combat spaceship to escape from being forced to go to a military academy. He usually wears a black leather jacket and jeans. He wears shades whether it’s sunny or not, and sometimes uses them to hide his emotions.
Duke Urdor, Lord Ganth’s father, reading aloud The Wherehouse advert card that he found in Lord Ganth’s chambers. It gives away where Lord Ganth is hiding after stealing his spaceship.
Duke Urdor is Lord Ganth’s father. He looks like an old grey-haired rock star or old long-haired actor, with grey cat ears, but he wears a military uniform most of the time. He also has an older, family resemblance to Lord Ganth. His life in the military has taken him away from Lord Ganth, even after his wife died, which had left Lord Ganth desolate when he was only ten years old. Being a far less affectionate or demonstrative person than his wife had been, his demand for his son to join the military in his early twenties went down like a lead balloon; especially as he had not spent much time with him over the years but instead paid for nannies and private tutors. Duke Urdor has a sense of humour but his earnest, hard-working nature makes it hard for people to find it in him. He is, however, a warmer and kinder person than his serious demeanour reveals. He is unable to understand his son’s reluctance to join the military because he sees that he has talents such as being able to jump higher and run faster than most Meethrans.
Lonzo, the glam, non-binary, hermaphrodite style guru, who keeps all the Meethran cat people looking stylish; also an important, supportive “agony aunt” and loyal friend to all of them. There is no sound on this video, but I imagine Lonzo’s voice to be similar to an American “Valley Girl” voice. Lonzo is pictured here in the video with a little cat friend, in a random scene which is not part of the story, but perhaps they are in the foyer of the Croydon disco they went to for Halloween.
Nurse Kali is a very moral, professional nurse until she meets Lord Ganth and begins to hatch a plot to seduce him using Catnip. She sees his handsome face when he is recovering from a shoulder injury in hospital; she knows that he is a nobleman and that he has a reputation as a notorious space pirate. That is enough to risk her nursing career by taking advantage of him. You can stream or purchase The Wherehouse soundtrack song about Nurse Kali, sung by Lord Ganth, on the link below.

The pretty, dainty, red-haired Damsel is one of Lord Ganth’s entourage of friends, or “Brothers and Sisters in the Claw” who visits planet Earth with all the others. Like Lord Ganth, she is a humanoid cat being from Meethra. She is gentle and kind, she likes to dress as a Goth when on planet Earth, especially during Halloween when so many humans dress up as humanoid cats. She fancies Shaz’s boyfriend Jed, and senses that Shaz has been cheating on him, so she sees a chance to become Jed’s next girlfriend.
Sub is Lord Ganth’s best friend amongst the Brothers and Sisters in the Claw, (the gesture for the Claw is seen in the video above) and an important engineer who helps Ganth to fly the stolen starship. Like Lord Ganth, he is quite vain; he wears his dreadlocks long and loves wearing black leather jackets and jeans. He likes to use an idiom of speech that he learned from watching American cop shows on TV on his visits to Earth, so he often calls Lord Ganth “Blud”. He shows a lot of loyalty to his friends. His girlfriend is Perla. He learns from stylist Lonzo that Perla doesn’t like beards, so once he shaves off his beard, she is much easier for him to seduce.
Perla is a very pretty young Meethran woman with great cheekbones and quite an impressive figure. She is not just a pretty face, however. When on the Mother Ship with Ganth and the rest of the Claw crew, she is in charge of steering both the Mother Ship and the landing craft, when they go down to “park up” and stay with Shaz and Jed at The Wherehouse. She is also Sub’s girlfriend, and once she establishes herself as his girl, she starts wearing sunglasses indoors, just like he does.
Targ is a handsome Meethran male who is around 22 years old in Earth years. He loves Earth girls who have, as he describes “golden hair”. He is not as shy and innocent as he pretends to be around girls, but his chat up lines are often nerdy so he relies on his smile, or the use of catnip to make himself irresistible to them. He falls in love too easily, especially after taking catnip. On the Mother Ship, he is an electrical engineer.
Babs is a young woman of around 22 years old, who knows what she likes in men. Her flirting technique is to have a drink or two until she is slightly tipsy, then accidentally on purpose begin to dance opposite them and smile, to catch their eye. She tries this on Targ and he is immediately reeled in.
Mrs. Quentin is Shaz and Jed’s nosy neighbour. She is utterly fascinated and mystified by what is going on next door at The Wherehouse (47 Poplar Villas in East Croydon). She loves to chat and gossip with friends of her age, and her young relatives who occasionally visit her. In my original book The Wherehouse, she has a funny monologue in the beginning where she is speculating about “what on earth might be going on at number forty-seven”. She has a flatulent dog called Minky.
